Reader Dave Patterson sent us a link to the 1974 photo above depicting what the Los Angeles Public Library calls the Chapman Building at the corner of West Sixth Street and Alexandria Avenue in Los Angeles with a packed parking lot in the foreground, and a little poking around on the LAPL site reveals a second photograph of the intersection and parking lot from the same time, this time with the Champman Market in the background.
