Richard C. Clark’s father – also named Richard C. Clark – at one point served as the public relations manager for the Golden Gate Bridge, and as such had pretty much unlimited access to the bridge. Richard the younger said he recalls getting to go to the top of the north tower as a kid, thanks to his father. That access also meant that Richard the elder could grab photos such as this one, showing the traffic streaming onto the bridge (we’re guessing morning traffic headed south into the city).
