If we were the stereotyping types, we could go through this Charles H. Graves photo of the parking lot at Urey Hall at the University of California San Diego from January 1964 and make some assumptions about the owners of the cars parking there. Except we don’t know which belong to staff and faculty, which belong to students, and which are the scholarship students’ cars, and which are the full tuition students’ cars. We’re guessing, though, that some of all of those groups are parked here, given the diversity of vehicles. What do you see here?
