Until the hood goes up, there’s not much that gives away the big ol’ whomper under the hood of this 1963 Plymouth Belvedere for sale on Hemmings.com. The paint, the narrow whitewalls, the wheelcovers, the bench seat all give off that sleepy Sixties suburbia vibe, but then there’s that four-speed stick and the dual-quad 426 and dumps. The whole package looks as clean as can be, and the seller claims to have documentation to support this being a factory car. From the seller’s description:
It has a dated correct 426 Max Wedge Engine and T-85 3-speed. It is Metallic Brown with a tan interior. It was restored approximately 2 years ago using mostly original or NOS parts. It is very correct with dated parts. The IBM punch card was decoded by Galen Govier and the car is documented in Darrell Davis’ 1963 Plymouth Super Stock Book. I have the original fender tag, a copy of the 1964 title(I know the history from 1964-on) and most of its race history. The 4.56 race gears are still present. This is a very rare stick car and is ready to drive and enjoy.
