Finding out when exactly the Phoenix Public Library opened might help date this photo that reader Jimbo Weisenhunt sent us via our Facebook page, but that doesn’t seem a particularly simple thing to do. One source says 1950, another says 1953, and yet another says 1959. What we do know is that the building combined the library, Phoenix’s art museum, and a small theater in one complex at the corner of McDowell Road and Central Avenue, where the Phoenix Art Museum currently sits. What do you see here?
