While both of these photos from the East Carolina University Digital Collections obviously show the same downtown street, and were likely taken within minutes of each other on the same day in September 1953, the descriptions for each list them as having been shot in different towns near Greenville, North Carolina: Grifton and Fountain. Both towns, in their modern street views, look vaguely like the period photos, but a quick googling of the visible business names narrows it down to Grifton. As for the cars and trucks lining the street, what do you see here?
